Prototype statues in my office
After briefing and discussing with supervisor about the continuity of yesterday's job, i stayed back in the main office downstair for a while. GOD! my place need double makeover. So dull! The floor was made as a test pad for the new brand of epoxy from Japan. Guess what color is it?...GREEN! It's badminton court's kind of green.

Anyway, i was looking for inspiration for my new coffee business venture...hopefully can start by June/July in 3 shopping complexes here in JB. I Googled some ideas and suppliers, then i login to Youtube and found a movie trailer called Hachiko.

I have the softest spot for animal. When i was in Form 1 i wanted to be a vetenarian or work in zoo and become the zoo doctor or study animal like Gorilla specialist, late Dian Fossey who live in the jungle almost her whole life to studied their behaviour. Bless her! Rest In Peace...

I was chocked and my teardrops fell just by watching the Hachiko's trailer...i promised to myself not to embarassed myself by going to the cinema to watch this movie...well, maybe i'll buy the dvd and watch it by myself!

What makes it so sad is the movie is based on the true story!!! Believe me you'll cry too...

GREEN ZONE

I spent my brunch time for GREEN ZONE. Despite the lousy Hainan Tea i had for breakfast in Johor Jaya, this movie made my day.
My other half suggested we go and watch movie instead of heading back to office right away. So i guess, what the heck!why not? I have no one above me to report to...just me and MYOB...and he had a bad week already. A movie is what we both need right now. LOL!

We headed to Cathay in City Square...crowded, as always...with fashion victims (LOL!) and wannabes.
Anyway, the movie already 5 mins ahead when we came in to the cinema hall #3...Seat B14 & B15 ,couple's seat.hehehe...

My review? First, i love Matt Damon...i was attracted to his assassin persona as Jason Bourne from his previous movie The Bourne Identity and its sequels. when i read that this movie was directed by the same director, that scores some points too.
The movie is crazy! Positive kind of crazy. The second i lay my eyes on the screen, the action was non stop till the end. A couples of time i was jolted off my seat! It was unbelievable.

It's not that AIW not good but i believe my Mr would have sleep halfway through it...i don't want to torture him that way. I do love Johnny Depp but after knowing him as a cuckoo pirate...i can't take him any other way. He should just pass character to Marilyn Manson in the first place. hehehe....

Saint Patrick's Day 17th March 2010

This Lent don't forget to go down to the nearest Irish Pub in your neighbourhood to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day ( a reason to PARTY!). In Malaysia, there are a lot of places you can hang around and mingle and party! If i go, i guess i'll hang in Irish Pub in Permas Jaya. hehehe...

Kek Lapis Lemon Cheese

This is my prototype recipe i create myself. I hope you like it.

Ingredients:
10 large eggs
200g fine sugar
140g superfine flour
100g horlicks
170g kaya ( coconut custard )
450g pure butter
375g sweetened condensed milk
250g Kraft's Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 tbsp ovallette / cake stabilizer / cake emulsifier
2 tbsp lemon zest
tbsp lemon juice
yellow food coloring

*make sure all the ingredients are in room temperature.
In a mixer, beat cream cheese with sugar till soft and fluffy. Add in kaya, condensed milk and horlick. Add butter. Add egg one by one.

Next, add ovallette. Remove from mixer.
Using large spoon, Mix in flour ane spoonful at a time till finish. Divide mixture into two separate bowl. In one bowl, add the lemon zest and its juice together with the yellow color. Mix well. Leave another bowl of batter plain.

Preheat the oven to 200 degree C. Before layering the batter, brush some butter on your baking pan of 8"x8" and line it with baking paper. One layer at a time pour a small amout of batter and spread it till you achieve the layer thickness that you like. Usually i prefer it to be as thin as possible, maybe 2 - 3 mm per layer thickness which would take me 4-6 minutes to bake in 200 degree C. Repeat the step for the next layer till finish.

When baking, only use top heat and lay your baking pan on top rack. DO NOT LEAVE your cake without any supervision. Sometime the baking time differs depend on the thickness of your layer cake.
