Just waiting for the clock strike 11am then i'll go and fetch Yovela from Xaris. So far, she is showing a growing interest in going to preschool everyday. Not like the first half of the year, she skipped classes at least 2 days/week. Well, actually we made her skipped. First half of the year, we just want to introduce the preschool to her.
I try to encourage her by reading her story books about Sam & Anna's trip go to school using school bus. She loves the story so much she asked me to read it over and over again.
Oh ya, forgot to tell you, i have this habit of reading books before sleep since small. I read books when i was carrying Yovela. I solved difficult maths. I played sudoku. I hanged around in Harris for hours. All these in hope that my girl will naturally develop interest in books like i do. When she was born, her dad sang lullabies in Mandarin. We talk a lot to her, describing things around us when we travelled. In hope she won't fear of the unknown instead seeing things as beautiful and interesting!
3 months old, i read simple ABC & 123 books for her everyday and night before sleep. At 9 months, she would crawled passed all her toys and grabbed her book and flipped through the pages. Those colourful pages must have caught her attention. Sometimes, i noticed she would stared at a page and touching it and smell it and eventually licked it! That time i know she was learning to use her senses to help her brain to understand the thing in front of her. Seeing these milestones is like the highest achievements a mother ever get. The feeling inside just heavenly bliss!
